Daniel P. Watkins Recognized by the National Law Journal

Meier Watkins Phillips Pusch founding partner Daniel P. Watkins was recognized as an Elite Trial Lawyer by the National Law Journal, a highly competitive list of trial lawyers who have demonstrated “litigation prowess and service to the community.”

Daniel, a successful trial lawyer who dedicates a significant amount of time to pro bono matters, was a clear choice for the National Law Journal.  He believes that extensive preparation and strategic planning are necessary to deliver results to clients, in and out of the courtroom.

The National Law Journal recognized his past work representing Dr. Fredric N. Eshelman, an entrepreneur who successfully sued a biotechnology company for falsely accusing him of fraud.  Daniel—working alongside Meier Watkins co-founder Megan Meier—led the trial team that secured a $16 million award for Dr. Eshelman.  Recent litigation victories in cases against McDonald’s Corp. and McFlurry Machine maker Taylor Company include successfully opposing dispositive motions and obtaining injunctive relief arising from trade secrets and false advertising claims.
